XP-8
Designed by Glen-L Marine
An 8 ft 3 in or 9 ft 3 in single-seat monoplane speedboat from Glen-L Marine, drawn for the most speed on the least power, an outboard to 5 hp, on the same plans and full-size patterns. Sheet plywood vee-bottomed monohydroplane, no building forms, with prototype construction photos in the instructions. Protected water only.
Glen-L calls it the ideal craft for a beginner who wants an exciting little boat. Allow 50 to 100 hours. Real hours from logged builds show below.
What building a XP-8 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
