Tuffy
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 13 ft 1 in outboard runabout from Glen-L Marine that Glen-L calls an amateur builder's dream: a high-performance little boat proved on several prototypes towing skiers and jumping wakes. Vee-bottomed sheet plywood, about 350 lb, outboards to 40 hp, best in protected water.
The instructions carry more than 50 construction photographs of the prototype. Budget 180 to 320 hours. Real hours from logged builds show below.
What building a Tuffy actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
