Aerowood 310 SUP
Designed by Cristian Pilo
A 3.1 m all-round stand-up paddleboard drawn and built by Cristian Pilo of Modern Wooden Boat, with some wave-riding ability. The hollow board uses 4 mm plywood frames glued to an 8 mm plywood spine, plywood deck and bottom, and sides made from thin wood strips. It is 84 cm wide with 184 litres of volume, weighs about 13 kg, and suits paddlers of 70 to 95 kg. Templates can be printed smaller, down to 2.73 m, for lighter riders.
The designer calls it a garage project and good practice in cutting plywood, epoxy and glass work before a bigger boat; the strip sides are the only fiddly part. No build time is published, so budget 40 to 80 hours. Real hours from logged builds are below.
What building a Aerowood 310 SUP actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
