Crispy 660 Cabin

Designed by Cristian Pilo

A 6.6 m planing cabin cruiser by Cristian Pilo of Modern Wooden Boat, 7.52 m overall, developed from the Crispy 650 open boat for weekend cruising on coasts, canals and lakes. Below there is a full double V-berth, a separate marine toilet, a galley with sink and stove. It takes a single outboard of 100 to 180 hp or twins up to 200 hp in total, for about 28 knots at the 2,000 kg design displacement. Beam is 2.51 m and the bare hull weighs 1,150 kg.

The hull is a grid of plywood bulkheads, stringers and a solid wood keel beam, with flared topsides laid up from two 6 mm layers. Plans detail the onboard systems. Expect 1,500 to 2,500 hours. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
