Dunlin 22 Pilothouse
Designed by Sam Devlin
A 21 ft 7 in semi-displacement pilothouse workboat by Sam Devlin, conceived as a bigger sister to his Godzilli 16 yard tug. With a 60 to 65 hp high-thrust outboard and a very strong structure she can tow, salvage logs, fish or cruise. The cabin has good headroom, a heating stove, a double berth, a galley counter and space for a portable toilet. Displacement is 3,290 lb and draft 17 in. A Cruiser version with a larger cabin is sold separately.
Stitch and glue, heavily built, with a full pilothouse to frame and glaze. Better as a second boat than a first. Budget 1,000 to 1,600 hours as a rule of thumb. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
What building a Dunlin 22 Pilothouse actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
