Mouse Grande
Designed by Plyboat
The largest member of Plyboat's mouse family, Mouse Grande is a 2.34 m rowboat with a 1 m beam and the most internal volume of the three, designed with stability first so an angler can stand and cast. Transoms at both ends make the most of the space, and the boat fits within 8 ft, so no plywood splicing is needed and it stores almost anywhere, balconies included.
The hull shape follows Happy Hour: a flat bottom, angled bilge panels to meet small chop and a narrow sloped deck panel along the sheer. The rower sits low on a kayak seat with the rear bulkhead as a foot brace, and fishing rods can be clipped to the front bulkhead. It weighs about 20 kg, carries 130 kg and needs two sheets of 6 mm plywood. The instructions run to 27 illustrated pages.
What building a Mouse Grande actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
