A Formula 18 racing catamaran: curved daggerboards, a square-top mainsail and an asymmetric spinnaker off a bowsprit, sailed by a crew of two on trapeze.
This is the racing end of what Hobie make, built to an international box rule rather than for the beach, and it is a very different boat from the 16 that made the name. Fleets race it one-design and under the Formula 18 rule against other makers' boats.
