Moccasin 12 Canoe

A 12 ft solo canoe by Graham Byrnes of B&B Yacht Designs, the smallest of the Moccasin family at 27 in wide, 10 in deep and about 27 lb. It carries one adult with a child, or two children, and the plans also show a 12 ft 9 in option. It is sold as digital plans only, in both imperial and metric, without full-size templates. B&B supplies the Moccasin 14 assembly manual with it because the building steps are the same.
The hull is folded from flat plywood panels to make full ends and then stitched and glued along the chine. B&B recommends these canoes as inexpensive first projects. Budget 60 to 100 hours as a rule of thumb. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
