A 4.80 m flat-bottomed punt in the jon boat style, sold as a CNC-cut stitch-and-glue kit by Boatkits (Boatplans ApS, Denmark) for fishing and exploring lakes, backwaters and fjords. It is narrow at 0.88 m, weighs about 41 kg and draws roughly 0.10 m, so it launches straight from a bank and rides on a roof rack. It can be paddled, or pushed by a 2 to 5 hp outboard or a silent electric trolling motor. Up to three aboard.
A flat-bottomed box shape with no difficult curves. Boatkits gives 50 to 60 hours for hull and structure only and puts fairing, paint and outfitting at 1 to 1.5 times that again. A rough budget is 100 to 150 hours. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
