25' Motorboot
Designed by Boatkits
A 7.75 m displacement motor cruiser, the largest kit in the Boatkits range, sold as CNC-cut plywood by the German-language shop of Denmark's Boatplans ApS. The cabin has a helm and galley, a dinette to port and a double berth with a locker; the table lists four berths. A 15 to 60 hp motor in a well aft gives 8 to 10 knots with low fuel use. Beam is 2.50 m, weight about 640 kg.
Boatkits calls it extremely easy to build even for someone new to boats this size. Boatkits publishes no build time for this kit. As a rule of thumb a cabin boat of this size, finished and fitted out, runs to 1,000 hours or more. Logged build times from this site follow below.
What building a 25' Motorboot actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
