Coastworker 25
Designed by Bruce Roberts-Goodson
The smallest of the Coastworker workboats, a 25 ft 6 in chine hull originally drawn for operators in the North Sea, so seaworthiness came first. Bruce Roberts calls it an ideal first project, and it can be a fishing boat, dive boat or general workboat, or a small cruiser if the pilot house is extended aft for more accommodation.
The plans offer a full displacement hull that cruises at 7 to 8 knots on about 60 hp, a semi-displacement form, and a planing hull taking up to 250 hp, with inboards, stern drives or outboards all fitted by builders. Plans and full size frame patterns cover wood and epoxy, fibreglass, steel and aluminium, and the study package bundles every version, over a hundred sheets of drawings.
What building a Coastworker 25 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
