Nesting Expedition Dinghy

A 10 ft 6 in sail-and-oar micro cruiser by John C. Harris of Chesapeake Light Craft, launched as a prototype in 2016. The bow and stern unbolt and stow in the middle section, which then fits through a 32 in doorway. One person can sleep aboard under a cockpit tent. It has leeboards, 100 lb of water ballast, and a yawl rig of 85 sq ft or a simpler balanced lug. Beam is 42 in, hull weight 150 lb, payload 400 lb.
Sold as downloadable plans with no step-by-step manual. The hull is 6 mm and 9 mm plywood on chine logs and sheer clamps. CLC calls it an intermediate project and estimates 250 hours. Hours logged by builders here are shown below.
