Gosling 10
Designed by Sam Devlin
A 10 ft 10.75 in yacht tender and utility skiff by Sam Devlin, drawn for a cruising-boat owner who wanted to carry four adults, a dog and gear, hang a sizeable outboard and still row. Beam is 62 in, draft 6 in, dry weight about 225 lb, and it takes up to 15 hp. Devlin lists capacity as three adults or 436 lb. Chesapeake Light Craft sells the kit packages and Devlin sells the plans.
Stitch-and-glue from traditional plans. CLC rates it advanced, for builders already at home with wood-epoxy work, and estimates 250 hours. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
What building a Gosling 10 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
