Gosling 10
Designed by Sam Devlin
A 10 ft 10 3/4 in stitch and glue tender and skiff by Sam Devlin. It was drawn for the owner of a larger cruising boat who needed a dinghy able to take four adults, the family dog, gear and a good-sized outboard while still rowing. Beam is 5 ft 2 in, draft 6 in and dry weight 225 lb, with outboards to 15 hp. It also works as a towable, beachable little fishing boat.
Study plans and full construction plans are sold, printed or as a download, dimensioned in both imperial and metric. A small open boat like this is a reasonable first stitch and glue project. As a rule of thumb, budget 80 to 150 hours. Real hours from logged builds are below.
