Angus RowCruiser
Designed by Colin Angus
A 19 ft cabin rowing boat from Angus Rowboats, with kits produced by Chesapeake Light Craft and plans sold by Angus. The multi-chine stitch-and-glue hull is 44 in wide, about 148 lb, carries 880 lb and has an enclosed cabin where one person can sleep. It rows at about sea kayak pace on a sliding seat. An optional outrigger and cat-ketch sailing conversion has been raced in the Race to Alaska and the Everglades Challenge.
CLC rates it intermediate. No build time is published; as a rough rule of thumb budget 250 to 450 hours, and more if the sailing amas and rig are added. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
What building a Angus RowCruiser actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
