Kingfisher 33
Designed by Sam Devlin
A 32 ft 10 in semi-displacement diesel cruiser by Sam Devlin, built stitch and glue. The first boat was launched in Olympia, Washington, and appeared on the cover of the November 2017 issue of Passagemaker magazine. It is an inboard cruising boat with a large cockpit for fishing and socializing, drawn for Pacific Northwest waters. Beam is 11 ft 6 in and draft 36 in, and the listed power is a 260 hp inboard diesel.
The design is available as study plans and as a complete custom build from the Devlin shop, so construction drawings must be arranged with the designer. It is a job for an experienced builder. As a rule of thumb, expect 5,000 to 7,000 hours. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
What building a Kingfisher 33 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
