Mud Dauber 22 H.B.
Designed by Sam Devlin
A 21 ft 10.5 in (6.68 m) beachable houseboat by Sam Devlin, based on his Mud Dauber 23 utility boat and intended for stitch and glue construction. The parallel-sided hull gives a houseboat feel, and the bow landing gear allows extended beach cruising. It has a full-time queen berth, enclosed head, galley, dinette for two, wardrobe and settee. Beam is 8 ft 2.75 in, draft 10.75 in, or 2 ft 3 in with the outboard down, and displacement 3,300 lb.
Only downloadable study plans are listed so far, as with its smaller sister the Honker H.B. 20. The hull is straightforward but the cabin is a full interior. As a rule of thumb, budget 1,200 to 2,000 hours. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
