Nancy's China 15
Designed by Sam Devlin
A 15 ft 3 in trailerable pocket daysailer by Sam Devlin, built stitch and glue. First drawn in 1980 and later revised with a choice of rigs, it is described by the Devlin shop as probably its most popular design. The small cabin gives shelter and can sleep two. Beam is 6 ft 2 in, the daggerboard takes draft from 16.75 in to 34.5 in, ballast is 300 lb and trailering weight 850 lb. An open electric-auxiliary variant, the Nancy's China DC 15, is sold separately.
Study plans, construction plans and a CNC-cut kit are offered. It is within reach of a careful first-time builder. As a rule of thumb, budget 400 to 800 hours. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
