Sculldugery II 17
Designed by Sam Devlin
A 17 ft 6 in two-person scull boat by Sam Devlin, the larger sister of the one-person Sculldugery 15. The page says greater length and beam are the only differences. Like the 15 it is a low waterfowling boat propelled by a single sculling oar through the transom for a silent approach to rafted ducks. Stitch and glue plywood, 3 ft 6 in beam, 700 lb displacement and a rating for a 6 hp motor. Study and construction plans are sold.
A slim decked hull with very little inside it, suitable for a first build. Budget 100 to 180 hours as a rule of thumb. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
What building a Sculldugery II 17 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
