A 13 ft 5 in (4.1 m) stitch and glue plywood performance skiff by Dudley Dix, winner of an Outstanding Innovation award at the 2007 WoodenBoat Show. One hull takes three modular rigs so sailors can progress without changing boats: the free-standing Lite una rig of 77 sq ft, the Standard with jib and trapeze, and the Turbo with a taller topmast, bowsprit and asymmetric spinnaker. The hull weighs about 100 lb and has an open transom.
Built entirely from 4 mm plywood over an interlocking ladder frame, which the designer places within reach of reasonably skilled amateurs. Plans include full size patterns and a 50 page manual with 200 photos and kits are sold. Budget 250 to 400 hours. Real hours from logged builds are below.
