A 49 ft semi-displacement trawler yacht from Glen-L Marine, cruising at 12 knots on about 150 hp with a 1,300 mile range, two staterooms each with private head, a big pilothouse with dinette and watch berth, and full walkaround decks. Hard-chine hull with a bulbous forefoot.
Displacement is 33,948 lb. Headroom below is 6'-3" to 6'-9". The hull is a semi-displacement, hard chine with practical cruising speed of 12 knots continuous and up to 14 knots intermittently. Bottom design features deep bulbous forefoot with reverse curve at chine. A yard-scale project for an amateur. Expect 8,000 hours or more over many years. Real hours from logged builds show below.
