Ripple 4.2
Designed by Spirited Designs
The 4.2 m Ripple is the largest of Spirited's small twin hull tenders, meant to go with a big cruising boat but capable on its own as a day boat for lakes, estuaries or, in suitable weather, a trip offshore. It can be built as an open boat or as a centre console fishing layout with a wraparound casting deck forward of the helm and an optional composite hardtop.
Like the rest of the Ripple range it has six buoyancy compartments and is designed to get on the plane quickly. Material is DuFLEX with foam or balsa core, plain foam, or gaboon plywood, the foam version being the lightest. The designer lists a 300 kg payload, a maximum of 30 hp and an estimated 85 hours to build.
What building a Ripple 4.2 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
