Quattro 14

A 4.3 m (14 ft) single-trapeze beach catamaran from Richard Woods of Woods Designs. The stitch and glue plywood hulls are close to those of his Pixie, with small skegs added for windward work, a bigger and more developed 13.1 sq m rig, and aluminium tube crossbeams bolted through the hulls. About 80 kg. Meant for racing, either singlehanded on the wire or with two light crew, and suggested as a youth trainer.
The hulls need six sheets of 4 mm gaboon plywood and about 8 kg of epoxy. Woods puts a practised builder's minimum for his beach cats at roughly 120 hours ready to paint, so allow 150 to 250 for a first attempt, plus rigging. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
