Seascape
Designed by Spirited Designs
Seascape is the entry point to the Spirited sailing range, a trailerable 6 m catamaran pitched at someone who wants a taste of multihull cruising while still saving for a bigger boat. She is mostly open boat, set up for warm weather and outdoor living, with a cockpit that seats five round a table under a hard shade top, two single berths in the hulls and a dinette that converts to a double.
The build uses only flat panels, with no compound shapes, in gaboon plywood, plain foam or DuFLEX. A 9.9 hp outboard sits in a well in the open aft deck behind the box beam, and the designer notes that a secondhand 16 to 18 ft beach cat rig will do to get her sailing on a budget. Estimated build time is about 500 hours.
What building a Seascape actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
