Spirited 7000
Designed by Spirited Designs
The Spirited 7000 reuses the hull of the Spirited 230 under an entirely new topside: a half cabin power cat with a large hardtop and roll-down canvas sides over the cockpit. Forward there is a double berth with hull windows and a head with standing headroom, and the U-shaped cockpit seating seats up to eight, its table dropping to make an extra berth.
With twin 60 hp outboards she planes at about 10 knots and is quoted at a top speed of around 22, and twin 90s are an option. The hull is assembled from DuFLEX foam or balsa panels over an MDF building frame, or from plain foam that the builder laminates, which saves money at the cost of more hours and more technique. The tunnel can be faired and painted before turning over. Expect around 1,500 hours.
What building a Spirited 7000 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
