Wharram Mana 24 Catamaran
Designed by James Wharram
A 23 ft 6 in trailerable camping catamaran from James Wharram Designs, the work of James Wharram and Hanneke Boon, and their first design conceived as a CNC-cut kit, which Chesapeake Light Craft produces under licence. It has open decks with bunks in the hulls, a 152 in beam, 216 sq ft in a Wingsail cat rig with mizzen, webbing-strap beam lashings for quick assembly and a weight of about 1,190 lb. It is sold only as a kit, not as plans.
Parts slot together and lock with wedges, and stitch holes for cable ties are pre-drilled, so a hull can take shape in a day. CLC rates it advanced and estimates 1,000 hours; budget 1,000 to 1,500. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
