A 6.4 m (21 ft) minimalist trailable cruising catamaran by Richard Woods of Woods Designs. Hard-chine hulls in 4 mm plywood sides with 6 mm bottoms, bulkheads and decks, sheathed in glass and epoxy. Beam 3.8 m, about 400 kg empty, a single berth in each hull plus a boom tent. Daggerboards, rudders and spars can come from a large beach cat such as a Hobie 18, and rigs run from a cruising size up to a racing option.
A light, simple structure of about 20 sheets of plywood and 25 kg of epoxy. Woods publishes no hours for Acorn but puts his slightly larger Janus at 350 as a practised builder's minimum, so budget 400 to 700 as a rule of thumb. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
