KIS 4.0

The KIS dinghies answer a problem every amateur builder meets. Spars, sails and rigging are the hard part and often cost more than all the materials in the hull, so Lodigiani drew four hulls sized to take the rig of four very common dinghies, in this case so that gear can be bought new from a dealer or picked up second hand. Racing helmsmen replace sails and masts often, so good used rigs, sails and rudders are not hard to find at sensible money.
The smallest of four dinghies drawn to be rigged with the spars and sails of a boat that already exists, so a builder is not making a mast and buying a sail: this one takes Laser gear, new or second hand. 4 m, chine hulled, stitch and glue, a beginner build.
