Young Baggie and Old Baggie are the older sisters of the Baby Baggie, drawn at 4.00 and 4.60 m respectively, free of any class rule on length or sail area. The length matters to the construction argument: at 3 m, strip planking is hard to justify against plywood except as an exercise, because the time is out of proportion to the boat. At these sizes it earns its place, and the gap in building time between the two methods narrows as the boat grows.
The 4 m middle sister of the Baggie family, strip planked over a round hull, with no class rule to limit her dimensions or her sail. At this size the strip planking earns its keep in a way it does not on the 3 m Baby.
