Albert E
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 20 ft 7 in classic cabin cruiser from Glen-L Marine, drawn for a fisherman's quick runs but fitted for cruising: two big berths, a simple galley, room for a head under the vee berth, a sheltered helm and a large cockpit. Central inboard to 850 lb, double-diagonal plywood bottom with bulbous keel, sheet plywood sides, about 990 lb of hull, trailerable. Glen-L publish a beam of 7 ft 10 in and a hull depth of 3 ft 9 in.
Displacement is 3100 lb. Headroom below is 4'-8". The hull is a vee bottom, hard chine with bulbous keel and reverse curve at chine. Bottom designed for double diagonal plywood planking, sides developed for sheet plywood planking. They draw a matching trailer for her. A manageable inboard cruiser for a builder with one smaller boat behind them. Budget 800 to 1,400 hours. Measured medians from logged builds show below.
