Rowme
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 12 ft 2 in flat-bottomed stitch-and-glue rowboat from Glen-L Marine, drawn for people who want a boat now rather than after a winter in the shop. Two sheets each of quarter-inch and three-eighths plywood build it, it has three flotation chambers, and it takes an outboard up to 5 hp for fishing.
As easy as the catalog gets: trace the full-size patterns, cut with a jigsaw, stitch and glue. Glen-L talks about days rather than weeks, and 30 to 60 hours is a fair budget for a first-timer. The stitch-and-glue manual comes with the plans. Real medians from build logs are below.
What building a Rowme actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
