Albatros 32 comes from the same thinking as the 36 with everything scaled down, partly to keep her overall length under the threshold where registration is required. The style is markedly classical, with a traditional deckhouse, a heart-shaped transom and plenty of sheer, over a hull with modern characteristics underneath. She is drawn for Mediterranean cruising with frequent harbours, but will cover long open passages and stand up to a sudden blow.
The Albatros 36 scaled down to 9.80 m so that she stays under the length at which Italian registration begins. Everything comes down with her: rig, accommodation and the difficulty of the build, which is still expert work.
