Aletheia
Designed by Paolo Lodigiani and Matteo Costa
Aletheia is Greek for truth, and she came from a customer who wanted a round-bilged boat with classic lines, good sea manners and the safety to be sailed alone. The Norwegian stern costs interior volume, so every centimetre below has been worked: galley with sink and fridge, heads, and a saloon with a double settee that converts for the night. The rig is Marconi with a self-tacking jib and a genoa tacked to a bowsprit. Composite strip planking, wood with epoxy and glass, for the best balance of lightness and strength.
A 7.80 m cruiser drawn for a customer who wanted a round hull, classic lines and a boat that could be sailed alone safely. Strip planked, and a demanding build.
