Team Dory

Designed by Chesapeake Light Craft

A 23 ft 9 in fixed-seat rowing dory from Chesapeake Light Craft for four sweep rowers and a coxswain, also offered as a 26 ft version that programs have tended to prefer. First built in 2012 with Independence Seaport Museum volunteers, it uses the same LapStitch plywood construction as the Northeaster Dory. The shorter hull is 56 in wide, about 210 lb with a 1,000 lb payload; the 26 weighs 225 lb and carries 1,400 lb. Flotation chambers are built in and speeds run 5 to 8 knots.

Sold as a complete kit and rated beginner. CLC says a volunteer team can assemble the hull in 50 to 60 hours, with a total of 120 to 150. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
