The templates for the bottom frames, laminations and floor timbers were screwed to Douglas Fir stock and cut on the bandsaw to within 1/8" of the template. Pieces were then trimmed on the router table using a trim bit.

#6, #7 and #8. A total of three coats was applied with wet sanding between coats to remove any amine blush from the epoxy.

Since the hull is only 28" deep, the setup jig height was increased so that the top of the frames were 16" off the floor. This raises the boat to a more convenient work height and provides increased clearance for cutting the frame sheer notches and fairing the sheer clamps.
A third leg was added between frame # 4 and # 5. This prevents stringer and frame movement when the chine and sheer are sprung in.

Frame clips were fabricated from 1-1/2" angle iron. The floor timbers were bolted to the frames which were in turn bolted to the motor stringers.
To ensure assembly accuracy, the transom pieces will be overlaid on the transom template.

Bracket top was flared to allow the installation of two bolts instead of one.

Transom bracket painted and installed. Prior to installation, the brackets and frame clips were sandblasted, primed with DuPont 2580CR self-etching urethane primer, base-coated with Imron Urethane white and topcoated with Imron Urethane metallic silver.
Fitting the sheer clamps to the breasthook. The breasthook was bulit up using two pieces of 1" x 3" mahogany stock and 3/4" marine plywood. The strips will provide a stable landing for the sheer clamp screws.
